The CEPS integrates highly sensitive microphones, micro-circuitry and the communications earplug to create a device that:

 

• Enhances sound detection and localization

• Improves face-to-face communication

• Provides hearing protection for both hazardous impact and continuous noise environments

• Provides rapid cut-off and recovery during weapons firing 

 

When interfaced into any Aircrew helmet, users can communicate during ground operations with non system equipped personnel while protecting their hearing from inadvertent impact noise and continuous noise hazards.
